Another Oreimo bikini cutie!

Following up from the Kirino Kousaka bikini figure, here’s the lovely and adorably gothic Kuroneko! Once again she’s been sitting on my desk patiently waiting to be photographed >.< So after many busy work weeks, here she is! Definitely worth the viewing ^^

Another figure standing on one leg..!

Much like Kirino, Kuroneko is in mid-undressing stage by kicking off her skirt to reveal her own version of the strapless bikini. It’s a gothic style frilly combination complete with matching head-bow.

Sliding off the skirt

To get the skirt on, it’s quite a weird process where you have to remove her leg, slide the skirt on the other leg, put the leg back in (from the top) and then reattach her leg with the skirt in position and clip it between her finger and thumb. It has a bit of an annoyance where it sticks up a bit too high, but pressing it down and adjusting her hand helps keep it in position around her lower leg.

The holy triangle

You can see above her hand and how the skirt fits into it and rests on her ankle too. I think this is a really great pose, it has so much attraction and impact even though she’s wearing very little and the overall figure is quite simple.

DFC and curves!

Both these recent Kirino and Kuroneko figures do actually have quite noticeably wide hips, but I think it only adds to their appeal. I love the way her body curves in the photo above. A lot of figures run the line of unreality when it comes to how they’re standing, especially how their backs bend in relation to the rest of their body. Kuroneko has none of these problems, as she’s as perfect and cute as she is in the anime

Her stand is split between a design featuring the same plushie that Kirino has, and a sandy section where her sandals sit – almost as if she’s standing on the beach with Kirino. Perhaps it’s a towel she’s standing on?

The sexy Bishoujo-Galaxy-Saviour

She actually arrived nearly two weeks ago, but finally here’s the blog post ^^;
This is actually the first game-related figure that I’ve bought that hasn’t been bundled as part of a Limited Edition or something. Liara T’Soni (who was my male Shepard’s love interest in Mass Effect 2 and 3) is also available in figure form, however I never quite liked the way her face was sculpted so she is yet to be a part of my collection.

The suit looks great and feels really solid

The level of detail in Fem-Shep’s bodysuit is really fantastic, and the paint job is super metallic and shiny. I believe her body-shape has been modified for the bishoujo-anime-style that Kotobukiya was aiming for, but it’s really minor and I think it works. Her face is obviously different, but retains a lot of the essence of default-fem-shep’s in-game face.

Would you pick a fight with her?

This is the non-limited edition version, so she comes with her M55 rifle (the limited edition comes with a pistol) while both versions carry the omni-blade below:

One surprise I had with Fem-Shep is that you can actually turn her head for some great poses:

You can swap out the Paragon symbol for Renegade too

The disc in the base is clear plastic, of which there are two versions – Paragon (shown here) and Renegade. Since I was Paragon (or at least tried my best to be) that’s what I chose.

They’re all here, finally!

At long last, all four of the cute Yuru Yuri girls in their Beach Queen form are finally together! Akari and Chinatsu are both wearing the always-awesome sukumizu school swimsuit and oddly performing the same pose – while Kyouko and Yui have their own cute two-piece bikinis. More photos of The Amusement Club members after the jump!

You can see from these two photos that Akarin and Chinatsu’s post and expression are identical – save for the colour of the eye and their hair. Is it a bad thing? I don’t necessarily think so. They came sold as an item (in fact with a third figure, coming up later in the post) so it’s not such a big deal. Plus double the sukumizu-wearing fun of course is always a bonus.

It’s very much in Yui’s character to wear what she has on in this figure – not loud and eye-catching, just simple and cute enough for her to be happy wearing it.

Beach Queen quality is pretty good as usual, not many marks or mis-paints

Kyouko of course has gone for a much brighter and decorative bikini set – choosing a bright pink colour and white frills.

Kyouko is my favourite character – i recommend the anime just for her!

Overall I’m pleased with getting the four girls ^^ There are other Yuru Yuri swimsuit figures available, though I won’t be getting those as I don’t think they’re particularly special.

However I can’t wait for this figure of Majyokko Miracle-n (Chinatsu) to arrive!

Food Research Club member bikini mode!

It seems most of the Japanese figure companies this season are stuck in bikini mode, as Chisato Sumiyoshi from the anime Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate released in gorgeous figure form by Alphamax is another such bikini-clad girl to be making it into my room. Though who can complain about bikinis in these dark winter months! Read on for more photos!

Chisato’s hair is really nicely sculpted, one of the nicest in my collection

One of the first things that struck me with Chisato was her hair – for what could have been just the usual sculpted flowing blob of hair Alphamax have made a really good job of creating the level of strand-detail shown here. Plus the material is soft and with very very minimal defects on the surfaces or edges.

I love the colour of her bikini, with the bow-bra and bikini-skirt.

Her pose features her standing on one leg (a pose also oddly popular with figure companies recently, perhaps becoming more daring and confident in the strength of their materials..?).

Chisato’s body is really nicely sculpted too, see here her lovely brea- err bow-bra-bikini!

I really like how the colour palette used is quite chalky, pale and sweet. Though something tells me Chisato might not be so sweet in the anime?

Kirino strips off and shows us a daring bikini!

A figure I’ve been looking forward to for a while, after I loved the anime and had collected most of the top-line figures already. Kirino returns again in this Kotobukiya-figure by kicking off her skirt and throwing her top behind her. It’s both one of the best and dynamic poses in a figure I’ve seen yet one of the most difficult to photograph effectively!

You can see here most of her pose; standing on one foot and kicking her foot forward while leaning back and lifting her arm up into the air behind her head. Considering the weight distribution of Kirino she stands really well and solid on her base – which is styled in the usual way to resemble the sand of a beach.

The bikini is definitely of a style she would wear in the anime, though I don’t believe this exact one has features in an episode (could be wrong, but I don’t recognise it). Kirino has a knock-out body though, so who can blame her for wanting to show off!

Flinging back her top

Kirino’s top is secured to her hand in a simple but clever way – one that doesn’t require the use of a peg or slot. Instead, the top just naturally wraps tightly around the tips of her fingers and sits comfortably in place.

Her skirt hangs neatly off of her ankle and could be removed entirely if wanted.

Another perfect Tony Taka figure

Not long after getting my first half-cast-off figure, Ninja-Ceptor Ichigo Osanama Jigokuhen, comes this full-cast-off Reiko Date Wingfield from the OVA Fault!!

She’s a gorgeous character from the mind of Tony Taka (Alphamax, SkyTube), with a cute but alluring face and stand-out body to match. Watch out, this post will be NSFW!

I wanted to try using a stronger red light filter, but maybe it was too strong?

"layered" clothing, always keeps you warm!

In my setup I have controllable-warmt LED box light for ambient, and a coloured LED ring light mounted to the top of my Canon 7D. This gives me quite nice control over the warmth, contrast, brightness and colour in the photo in a few simple ways. For the first few photos (except the top one of this post) I took of Reiko I used a stronger red filter than the rose/pink one I usually use. Perhaps it was too strong, but she’s showing a lot of skin and I really wanted to bring out and highlight the flesh tones in the photo. I added a diffusion layer to my colour filters after these which helped to reduce the red saturation and intensity in the light.

Reiko is a great figure both in first impressions, looks and size. She has good weight and a solid base connection too. Her sculpt is amazing and the way the wind has been captured blowing her jacket and hair back off her shoulders really adds a dynamic flare to her already so sexy pose.

The panties are completely flexible, and could be fully removed if wanted ^^;

Her whole pose is based around this suggestive pants-pulling she’s doing, pulling the thin strings just tight enough as to cover at least most of her modesty ^^; (yes, she is detailed in that way. No I won’t take macro photos of this! *slap*). When removing her arms to take off her top and bra, you have to un-couple her fingers from her pantsu strings which leaves them dangling precariously between her thighs.

This annoying white 'dust' I managed to scrape off slightly

Reiko’s body does have some annoying dots and blemishes on her skin (as is annoyingly usual with figures) but overall she’s ok. The marks on her sock above I really only noticed once the photo was up large on my screen and I’ve managed to make them less obvious. I think it;s just some paint dust residue. But still, gotta love socks like these on a pair of legs like these!

If you compare her face to the drawings, she might not be truly accurate – but I think she looks beautiful as she is in her own figure-incarnation way. Besides, anything by Tony is an instant hit right?

She's a ninja azu~nyan!

This another figure whose origins I’m unsure of, but couldn’t pass up on getting! Just look at her face, super cute azu~nyan look-a-like right?? Plus she’s a semi cast-off figure ^^;

This Ninja-ceptor Ichigo by FunnyKnights is actually the Limited Edition version. The Regular Edition can be seen here. Why did I go for the Limited Edition? I just think she looked better and cuter than the regular. Plus I have no connection to the original character so it didn’t bother me, my main buying motive was for her similarity to Azusa Nakano from K-ON! (Who’s possible one of the cutest characters ever).

What makes her more awesome is the inclusion of shimapan!!

Is she really the best of all worlds? Ninja, Azu~nyan, the shimapan and body of Mio!

Her pose is excellent, so dynamic yet still cute and light

Her skirt actually lifts up too, but I couldn’t find any way to get it fully off Yet you get to see the full excellence that is shimapan underneath.

I had neglected getting these girls at first, but i'm glad I did

Along with some other loot I got this week, these girls came too! I’m unsure of the anime, but I recognised and loved the art style as soon as I saw them on AmiAmi a while back. I didn’t pre-order them right away, as I was unsure (since I hadn’t watched the series / or seen the original content they’re based from). Then one day they came up for order on AmiAmi again, so I got ‘em!

The quality is great, and those cute faces are too cute to ignore!

I must say I’ve not got many figures that feature their tongues sticking out quite the way Lavie has her’s ^^; But I think it suits her, and I guess it must be a reflection on her actual character. She seems like she could be fun ^^

Of the pair, I think Alvis (left) is my favourite girl

Alvis’ style is much more of what I like. Her hair, face and eyes just eek cuteness – and the bunny (?) ears too! She seems like she could be quite a soft character judging by the cuddly toy she has nestled in her arms.

I also really like the wellington-boot style boots they have on, with the airplane wing in the background it’s just so ‘that’ kind of Japanese anime moe-war art style used in quite a lot of anime.

Haven’t dont a loot post in a while So where better to try and start again than with my largest Completed PVC Figure to date. 1/4 Scale Nanoha Takamachi Swimsuit Version Figure from Gift!

the box art is very nicely done, vibrant and attractive

Nanoha comes well and neatly packed inside her box, with the additional extras being a necklace and a large inflatable ring.

My DDS Akira and Jez's Tamaki - tennis girls! One of my favourite shots.

The first of many perhaps? Hope so! ^^ If not at my place, then these will likely take place in places in and around Essex / London or wherever is easiest to get to (and weather permitting).

Today, @JezatronExtra came over with two of his lovely girls: Tamaki – the gorgeous DD idol, and Yoko – the joyful cutie with big hips

The shot above wasn’t taken on my usual Canon 7D – but instead on my Mum’s new Olympus PEN Lite. I have to say, for a Digital Camera / SLR crossbreed, it’s a mighty fine piece of kit. The lens is great and offers big flexibility with distant and macro shots – all the while remaining pretty much crystal clear with image impressive stabilisation. The 16:9 aspect ratio option is a nice touch too, something I really like.
