DD - Akira - Purple Kimono Dress

Purchased this gorgeous purple Kimono dress from Etsy a few weeks ago, wanted to take some photos but wasn't happy with how bland my setup looked until now compared with how the Kimono looked. So, I found some 1/3 Doll sized tatami mats online for sale here in Japan, and then set myself the task of creating my own 1/3 scale Shoji-looking wall for the background.

After a few trips to the local hardware store(s) and a few Amazon deliveries, I managed to create what is seen in the background of these photos. Definitely learned what to do better next time, but not bad I think..!

Starlight switches to long, layered pink hair and is wearing one of my favourite purchases. A peachy-pink dress/shirt combo that came from Yahoo Japan Auction about.. 12 years ago now(?!). Coupled with some cute heart-detailed white stockings and white leather heels.

Trying to continue to review my current load of clothes / shoes / accessories and throw away anything that has deteriorated (annoyingly) and/or try and fill any gaps in styles. Always feel like I don't have the right accessories though.

Revisiting some older outfits, Yuki is a cute lolita-style outfit with a blue pleated skirt that has a plastic mesh underneath that really helps it stick-out sideways for a cute shape and length. Added some black stockings and ol' faithful versatile brown boots.

Still adjusting to the new photo setup and lighting differences of my office room here in Ishikawa, Japan compared to back in the UK. Think I'm getting the hang of it with these recent photos of Moe and Journey, although finding the time to do anything at all is still a bit of a challenge at the moment!

Moe is embracing her inner gyaru-style High School girl, and instead of the usual skirt for this outfit I felt a cute (and very bright) red skirt would suit the vibe more complete with 80s style ankle warmers.
